How we approach show design and creative direction
Creative Design at T-AV is engineering, not mood-boarding. We start with the client's brief, venue’s as-built drawings and build up: stage geometry, sight lines, audience density, projection throw, FOH and monitor world, load-in path.
You see one PDF. Behind it sits Vectorworks, Depence, a load plan signed by a structural engineer, and a signal-flow diagram that survives a hand-off to anyone on the crew.
When the show changes (and it will), we update the drawings on the laptop, not at the venue at 02:00.

What does show design / creative direction actually include?
It turns a brief into a buildable production: stage geometry, sight-line studies, FOH and monitor positions, plus lighting and video pre-vis. You get one clear plan; behind it sits a load plan, a signal-flow diagram and drawings the whole crew can work from.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the scale and how many design rounds the show needs. We quote per project from the brief — most clients fold it into the wider production, and it pays for itself by catching problems on the laptop instead of at the venue at 2am.
What do you deliver, and in what software?
Stage plot, rig plot, floor plan and sight-line study, drawn in Vectorworks 2026 with Depence pre-vis and LIDAR venue scans where it helps. Everything is signed off by a structural engineer, venue ops and the creative lead before kit leaves the warehouse.
What types of events do you design for?

How long does it take?
Anywhere from 2 days to several months, depending on the scope and the level of detail the show needs. From a clear brief we turn around a first set of drawings, then iterate until it locks — and when the show changes, we update the drawings on the laptop, not at the venue.
